We help clients in various ways through the immigration program in Canada, and these include Express Entry, Provincial Nominee Program, study permits, work permits, sponsorship, and visitors, depending on IRCC criteria.

Do you offer an initial immigration assessment?

Yes. This initial assessment can help evaluate eligibility as well as options for entering Canada, as per the latest guidelines for Canadian immigration rules. This assessment does not offer advice or promise an outcome.

Can you help clients outside Canada?

Yes. Gunness & Associates works with clients worldwide, providing professional immigration consulting services remotely in accordance with Canadian regulations.

An IRCC Canada work permit is a formal authorization issued by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada, given to an eligible foreign national for employment in Canada either to a named employer, with certain conditions, or for a specific period.

What is an Open Work Permit in Canada?

An Open Work Permit allows foreign nationals to work for any eligible employer in Canada without the need for a Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA). Open work permits are only issued in connection with specific IRCC stream applications, including international students, spouses of skilled foreigners or students, and some permanent residence applications.

Who can legally provide Canadian immigration advice?

The law allows only fully licensed RCICs, Canadian attorneys, and Quebec notaries who are members of their respective regulatory bodies to offer paid immigration advice and representation to clients before IRCC.
